I remember falling down one time during a 100m relay race back in Secondary School. Flat on my face that’s how I fell. All because I had to turned my head to see a distraction behind me. Needless to say I lost the race, and never run again. Well aside from morning runs against myself.

 

 Imagine how nervous I was when I realized I was going to be taking part in the AMAZING RACE which is shown on the Sony channel (DSTV Channel (DStv Channel 127 and GOtv Plus channel 21)  as part of the activities lined up for the invited guests. Kai! Me? Run? It aint gonna happen. Not today and definitely not in a jumpsuit and the pink flip flops that I was wearing! How come we weren’t told of this? I would have dressed more appropriately! Come and see pressure!

The MultiChoice Africa hosted a press conference on Wednesday morning at the Content Showcase, to address questions around the video entertainment service provider’s content, services and plans for the future, taking questions from media from across Africa.

 

The participants were Tim Jacobs, CEO of MultiChoice Africa; Wangi Mba-Uzoukwa, M-Net Regional Director: West Africa; Theo Erasmus, M-Net Regional Director: East and Southern Africa and Lusophone countries; and David Booth, Chief Content Officer, with the event facilitated by media consultant Jenkins Alumona.

Street photography brings out the candid moments and reflects the regular lives of people as they go about life. It gives a glimpse into the lives of every culture in any country. Whether it’s a person riding on a bicyle whilst texting or a little girl getting her braids done each moment captured on a smartphone or dslr tells a deep visual story.

 

Shooting street photography in Accra is not much different from doing same in some cities. it is not an exactly photo friendly city in all honest opinion. The city has a lot of history but less artsy locations, events and monuments to shoot at. If not for annual art festivals like #ChaleWote2015 there’s little going on in the city with regards to festivals and large outdoor events.

I personally find treasury bills less attractive at this stage where I aim to earn an attractive return within six months. I went to my bankers and it wasn’t a good return at all considering the amount I was ready to invest.

Agb3liKaaklo- Agb3li means cassava in Ewe and Kaaklo in Ga has long since been the rounded deep fried mashed plantain. So that’s where the two came together; round cassava balls. Or as the seller said- Cassava Doughnut. Oh but what a doughnut! Forget Krispy Kremes. This is tough and cruncy on the outside with a softer centre and is eaten together with matured coconut flesh.
