I was excited to see I could check if my business name was available through the Name Search function and reserve the Name as well. But before you get all excited, here’s why I think you should hold off on doing so for now.

How It All Went Down At #DumsorMustStop Vigil.

The long-awaited, non-partisan #DumsorMustStop has come to an end. A vigil initiated by Ghanaian actress Yvonne Nelson and some concerned Ghanaians took place today after some days of insults on social and traditional media. 'You are doing the work of NPP,' accused one NDC official as the Ghanaian actress announced her intentions. After all is said and done, the vigil finally took place. How was it, you ask? High turnout with splatters of disorderliness and selfie-taking celebrities.

For the past five years, The Ghana-UK Based Achievement (GUBA) Awards has awarded several individuals who have excelled within the British Ghanaian community whilst also seeking to promote greater cultural diversity in the UK. The awards have been presented to musicians, actors, social entrepreneurs and more during its inception in October 2010. 

The GUBA Awards 2015 was launched this week at the British High Commissioners residence in Accra and the event hosted several celebrities and personalities.

What is it about Dumsor that it makes one lose vim to do anything productive? Even if that thing doesn't involve the use of electricity? Sighs! Thats exactly how I felt just when I was about to dive into making this Mango and Avocado salsa, totally killed my vim mood and I moved the recipe to the next day. #DumsorMustReallyStop ! 

Soo... have great 10 minutes fun trying out this salsa which rocks with seafood or grilled chicken! Yummy! 

Lessons Learned From Being a 'GangLeader' For The Winning Team #SuameGang

When I was asked if I wanted to be a “GangLeader”  for a blogwalk as part of #blogcamp15, I saw it as an opportunity to do something different and exciting! After all how many times did I get the chance to capture a suburb of Kumasi with my own gang members? Like never.

#SuameGang, #AsafoGang and #AdumGang were the three gangs  set to pitch against each other to determine the best gang to have the best and most photos of a suburb in Kumasi. After much planning and strategizing, my gang #SuameGang won! What a feeling it was too! We had worked hard, walked through mazes of Suame magazine metalwork shops and foundries and communicated pretty well for a group in which many people had never each other before until the walk.

I learnt some very valuable lessons whilst I was a GangLeader of the #SuameGang which I would I believe helped in helping us to win

Its avocado season in Ghana and what better time to try out avocado recipes whilst the sun is shining? Popularly called 'Paya', a turn on the word Pear, the soft and mushy fruit is a great accompaniment in many Ghanaian dishes. I love Pear with Ga Kenkey, Banku and on the side of Attieke (this idea i recently discovered at a popular spot behind the Osu mall). It goes down perfectly with bread, a bit of magarine with a giant cup of Lipton tea. Yes, my Grandma trained me well!
